most characters, i can completely agree being gary stus/mary sues, but people should see key factors of the series these characters are made for and the world the character is in before claiming it is one.
like, if someone had a character that's like... Goku from dbz and gave every single trait of him to someone in a pokemon world concept, then...yeah. that's just extremely ridiculous, UNLESS you have a explanation of why that is.. however, something like that would be impossible if they're like Goku. (a pikachu going super saiyan and is the only one able to save the world LOL that'd be pretty stupid)
But if someone had a few adjustments to them, or at least have a good, logical reason for having the power they do or being the way they are, then I think calling them a mary sue would be too much. I'm all for pointing out mary sues/gary stus, but I sometimes find some people's reasons for it really stupid. People can have a sad past and still be a normal human being, so are we all mary sues/gary stus? XD
